The Artist: George Lea

I find the process of designing and creating objects for daily use to be full of possibilities. I believe that the exploration of these possibilities is what makes my work unique and forms the basis of a constantly changing line of wares that are meant to be as one-of-a-kind as the households they eventually inhabit. In addition to being entirely handcrafted, these pots are made in the spirit that each of us who live and work at Heartwood strive to apply to our day to day affairs “that service is love in action”. I hope that my pots will serve you well.

A three piece Sake hand formed on the potter's wheel by George Lea, Heartwood Mountain Sanctuaries Art Programs Manager. These pieces have been handpainted, glazed, and fired by the artist in a manner that insures that they are food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Bottle measures 5 5/8" H x 4" W . The Cups measure 2 1/8" H x 2" and 1 3/4" H x 2" (see photos ).
